Hsiao Chin, the recipient of Taiwan National Award of Art, founder of Ton Fan Art Group, is renowned by his initiation of Punto International Art Movement（1961-）, who firstly incorporating eastern philosophy, and the approach by self-introspection to the field of abstract painting. Hsiao Chin‘s creations inspire from his personal experience to change through ups and downs, and detach from a life perception to convert into a powerful and forceful artistic language. He explores pure and profound meanings of life and creating empty space through the gestures of nature and intuition.

Franz Bette studied gold- and silversmithing in the 1960s under Friedrich Becker. His early work is characterised by a ‘dynamic jewellery’ of his own interpretation. Franz Bette’s later pieces have taken-on the attributes of self-sustaining organism. Structure and content are interdependent, the parts are not so much arranged or composed, rather, they are connected or interlaced in a way more suggestive of an inevitable merging of elements－objects brought into existence simply because conditions at a given time, were right.
